Select models from Ampere's electric scooter line-up can now be purchased on Amazon. However, the service has only been introduced in select regions for now.

As part of its omnichannel sales strategy, Ampere Vehicles has tied up with Amazon to list its range of electric scooters on the e-commerce platform. Starting today, prospective customers can buy select Ampere electric scooter models – Zeal, V-48 (Lead-Acid), Magnus 60, Reo (Lead Acid & Li-ion) – via the online method. However, there is a small difference in the purchase procedure as the scooter won't be delivered to the desired address. Instead, once the payment is made on Amazon, a confirmation voucher will be issued to the customer against which, the delivery of the scooter can be taken from the respective sales touchpoint.

As of now, customers only in the following cities have the option of buying Ampere electric scooters via Amazon. These cities are Theni, Thoothukudi, Udumalpet, Trichy, Moodabidri, Mangalore, Gopichettipalayam, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Karur & Ambur. It's evident that in its first phase of operation, the service is concentrated in the southern region of the country. However, in the coming months, the service will certainly be extended to other cities as well. Ampere has also stated that purchases made online, especially before Diwali, would offer some festive discounts as well.

We've recently tested the top-dog of Ampere's electric scooter model line-up, the Zeal. You can read all about this Li-ion battery-powered scooter by heading over to its first ride review here.
