Ather Energy will host the third edition of its annual Community Day on August 30, 2025, in Bengaluru. The event, based on the theme 'Technology that works like magic', will unlock several innovations for EV enthusiasts with an evolving product strategy, including the new EL platform. While official details remain under wraps, the new EL platform is expected to represent a more practical, value-oriented direction for the company. It will reportedly underpin the next generation of its electric scooters.
While retaining proven components from the existing platform, the upcoming EL platform is expected to feature an updated electronic architecture and a revised powertrain. It may also adopt a simplified feature set, omitting premium elements to enhance affordability and versatility. This could allow Ather to introduce more cost-effective scooters, potentially priced under Rs 1 lakh.
Alongside the new platform, Ather will also showcase futuristic concept vehicles, advanced fast-charging solutions, and the upgraded AtherStack 7.0 software at its upcoming event. The all-new AtherStack 7.0 is expected to introduce a host of fresh features and improvements across its lineup.

Ather will also roll out its next-gen Grid fast chargers, promising even faster and more convenient charging. At present, Ather’s chargers deliver a rate of 1.5 km per minute. Interestingly, Vida electric scooters are also compatible with Ather’s charging infrastructure, though they charge at a slightly slower rate of 1.2 km per minute.
Ather Energy launched a new mid-spec variant of its popular Rizta electric scooter earlier this month. The new Ather Rizta S is priced at Rs 1.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and has an IDC range of 159 kilometres. It features a larger 3.7kWh battery, which was previously available with the top-spec Z model.
