The Ather 450X has continued to outsell itself despite electric scooters coming under the lens!
The month of April has been very rewarding for Ather Energy, as the electric scooter manufacturer has clocked its best-ever monthly sales numbers. It managed to sell 3,779 units in April 2022, which is a 255% increase over what Ather sold in April 2021.
Ather Energy managed this feat despite having only one model on sale – the 450X. While the Ather 450 is also listed on the company's website, the company is not accepting bookings for it or offering test rides of the scooter, for that matter.
Recently, electric scooters have been in the news for not so good reasons. It is, therefore, an even more significant achievement that Ather has posted its best monthly numbers at a time when electric scooters have become a subject of intense scrutiny.
The company’s only scooter on sale, the Ather 450X, is priced at Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom) in New Delhi. While it has many rivals in the market, one of its more direct opponents is the Ola S1 Pro, which is priced at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
