Bajaj’s entry-level motorcycles, the Platina and CT, have been upgraded to feature fuel injection systems to meet the upcoming BS6 emissions norms. Bajaj states that the company has worked with its component suppliers to indigenously develop the electronic fuel injection system, which is referred to as the Bajaj EI system. The BS6 Bajaj CT has been launched with both 100cc and 110cc engine options. The new Bajaj CT110 model gets new LED DRLs as well as an underbody guard for the engine. Bajaj has also brought in the Platina BS6 with the choice of either the 100cc or 110cc engine, the latter is referred to as the H-Gear model.

The prices for the Bajaj CT100 start at Rs 40,794 (ex-showroom Delhi), while the base spec Platina 100 retails at Rs 47,264. The electric-start-equipped variant of the Platina 100 is priced at Rs 54,797 (ex-showroom Delhi), which is Rs 6,386 more than that of the BS4 version it replaces.

'The introduction of these models begins the transition of our product range to BS6 norms. Bajaj Auto has scaled up their line-up of BS6 compliant vehicles and will make BS6 bikes available in the other models too in the next few weeks. With the CT and Platina, our world-class R&D team has enhanced the capabilities of our offerings while ensuring that we meet the stringent BS6 norms so that consumer gets excellent value for their money,' said, Sarang Kanade, President – Motorcycle.
