In late 2021, Classic Legends revived the storied BSA brand by reintroducing the Gold Star nameplate. The product was launched on Independence Day in India, with ex-showroom prices ranging from Rs 2.99 lakh to Rs 3.35 lakh (depending on the colour option opted for). There are six colour options for the Gold Star 650, the most expensive of which is the Legacy Edition, which costs Rs 3.35 lakh. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures. The bookings were already underway and now the company has started the deliveries for the recently launched Gold Star 650. The bike is available for purchase at Jawa Yezdi Motorcycle dealerships across India. Made in Madhya Pradesh's Pithampur, the model is exported to several international markets.

BSA Gold Star 650: Engine Specs
The Gold Star 650 is powered by a 652cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC 4-valve engine (designed by BSA and Rotax). It puts out 45bhp of maximum power at 6,500rpm and 55Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm. The bike features a five-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. Built on a twin cradle chassis, it has a claimed top speed of 166km/h.
BSA Gold Star 650: Styling and Features Details
Design-wise, the Gold Star 650 has a sleek, classic appearance thanks to its chromed, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, curved fenders, and side panels, all of which are reminiscent of the original model. Aside from wire-spoke wheels, it also features a traditional 'gold star' peashooter exhaust system, a large single-piece handlebar, a single-piece flat bench-style seat, mid-set footpegs, a vintage-style crankcase, circular analogue dials with upside-down readings, and faux cooling fins.
The bike's features include a twin-pod instrument cluster, an engine immobiliser, a 12V charging outlet, and a USB charger. The Gold Star 650 can be had in six colour options: Highland Green, Insignia Red, Midnight Black, Dawn Silver, and Legacy Silver Sheen. It has a 12-litre fuel tank and weighs slightly over 200 kg. The wheelbase and seat height stand at 1,425mm, and 782mm, respectively.

BSA Gold Star 650: Hardware
With dual shock absorbers at the back and 41mm telescopic forks up front, the BSA Gold Star 650 has five-step preload adjustability. The bike rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels with Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tyres. Single discs at both ends – 320 mm in front and 255 mm in back – handle the braking duties, and they are backed by a dual-channel ABS from Continental. The BSA bike locks horns with the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 (Rs 3.03 lakh, ex-showroom), both having nearly the same price tag.
