CFMoto is reportedly gearing up for a return to India by mid-2025, with some of its well-known models, including the adventure-focused 450MT. While official confirmation is pending, industry sources indicate that the Chinese brand is negotiating with a new distributor in India and intends to set up a robust sales and service network. If successful, this move could set the stage for the Chinese automaker’s comeback in India’s competitive motorcycle industry. For the uninitiated, CFMoto first entered the Indian market with models like the 300NK and 650GT but struggled due to an underdeveloped service network and limited brand awareness. However, with a refreshed strategy and improved infrastructure, the company is now focused to address these challenges and strengthen its foothold in India’s competitive motorcycle industry. Let’s explore some of the CFMoto bikes expected to make their mark in the Indian market.

CFMoto 450MT: Key Specifications

The CFMoto 450MT has a 449cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 41bhp and 42Nm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. The suspension setup includes a KYB fork offering adjustable compression and damping, paired with a preload-adjustable monoshock.

For braking, the bike uses disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS (switchable for the rear wheel). It rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear tubeless-spoke wheels.

CFMoto has equipped its adventure-based motorcycle with a range of features, including switchable traction control, a TFT display with smartphone integration for SMS & call alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation. In the Indian market, the 450MT will face competition from the Royal Enfield Himalayan.

Alongside the 450MT, CFMoto is also planning to introduce the 675 SR-R. The faired bike is propelled by a 675cc three-cylinder engine, delivering 96.6bhp of maximum power and 70Nm of peak torque.

Although CFMoto has yet to officially confirm its return to India, there are strong indications that if the Chinese brand re-enters, it may introduce its products at attractive prices to stay competitive. Alongside the 450MT, CFMoto could expand its presence in India with models like the 700MT and the 450SR.
