Ducati Factory Made Customisation Programme

Ducati has rolled out its Factory Made customisation programme, starting with the Multistrada V4 range in Europe. Buyers can now configure their motorcycle before it enters production instead of fitting parts later at the dealership. Orders go through the Ducati configurator, where customers select colours, wheels, seats and accessory packs. Once confirmed, the motorcycle is built at the Borgo Panigale factory with all selected equipment installed on the production line. The finished bike leaves the factory in the exact specification chosen at the time of booking. Ducati plans to expand the Factory Made programme to more models after this first phase with the Multistrada V4 family.

The main change is that customisation now happens during assembly. Ducati installs selected parts and accessories while the motorcycle is being built, so there is no need for post-delivery modifications. The configured order moves through the factory build schedule like a standard unit, ensuring the final motorcycle matches the chosen specification. This approach keeps everything within factory build standards and gives buyers a fully assembled motorcycle straight from production.

The programme currently covers the Multistrada V4 line, including the Multistrada V4, V4 S, V4 Pikes Peak and V4 RS. Buyers can choose from multiple factory paint schemes across these variants. Options include Ducati Corse-style graphics, gloss and matt finishes and selected colours from the Lamborghini Ad Personam palette. Each paint scheme is applied at the factory during production rather than after delivery.

Hardware options can be locked in before the motorcycle enters the assembly line. Buyers can select cast, forged or wire-spoke wheels and choose finishes for frames and brake components. The configurator also allows seat height selection for rider and passenger. Depending on the variant, suspension setup and trim elements can be specified at the time of order so the motorcycle arrives ready in its final configuration.

Ducati has also included accessory packs within the Factory Made programme. Buyers can add Touring, Adventure, Sport, Tech and Enduro kits directly to the build. These packs include luggage systems, protection parts, comfort seats and electronic equipment. All selected items are installed at the factory and remain covered under the standard warranty. Ducati says the Factory Made programme will expand to more motorcycles and markets after the Multistrada V4 rollout.
