Harley-Davidson will be delivering new motorcycles to customers within a radius of 40km from its dealerships for free. The company has also announced the extension of its product warranty plans for existing customers.

With no respite from the ongoing Coronavirus crisis in sight, Harley-Davidson has announced a number of initiatives in order to get the company’s business running back again. For the month of April and May, Harley-Davidson India has extended service warranties on their motorcycles, while the company is also going to deliver motorcycle at customers’ doorsteps.

In an official statement, Harley-Davidson said that the company will continue with its contactless services and has also launched the Harley-Davidson Home Delivery programme. Prospective customers can check and customise their motorcycles at the company’s website, and then directly connect with a dealer via the company’s dealer locator feature and discuss their purchase and payment opportunities. However, in case you’re buying a Harley motorcycle online, the home deliveries are only free for distance up to 40kms – for every extra kilometre, you’ll be charged.

In addition to the home delivery of motorcycles, Harley-Davidson will also be extending product warranties by 30 days for customers whose bikes will be out of warranty during the lockdown. For customers who fall under the HDFS (Harley-Davidson Financial Services) planned maintenance program, the company is providing a 60-day extension.

Commenting on the launch of the company’s new initiative, Sajeev Rajasekharan, Managing Director – Asia Emerging Markets and India, Harley-Davidson, said, “For an experiential brand like ours, it is critical to stay engaged with customers and enthusiasts continuously, keeping them hooked to the brand. We have introduced a number of initiatives to keep them motivated and look forward to riding.”
