Hero MotoCorp has patented a production-ready version of its Vida Ubex electric motorcycle in India. The bike was first showcased at EICMA 2025 in Milan, alongside a range of e-two-wheelers, such as the Vida Novus concepts and the VX2 electric scooter. As seen in the patent images, the naked streetfighter aesthetic has evolved from the concept stage and is production-ready. Key elements that you can note include sharp LED DRLs, a bi-projector headlamp, and integrated turn indicators. There are telescopic forks on the bike instead of the USD ones seen on the concept. The patented design of the Hero Vida Ubex also shows an upright, comfortable riding position with a stepped single-piece seat. It also features pillion-friendly split grab rails, a tubular trellis swingarm, a battery pack positioned low in the frame, disc brakes front and rear, and a tyre hugger.

Though Vida has not made any official announcement about the powertrain, the production-spec Hero Vida Ubex is expected to feature a mid-mounted motor powering the rear wheel. Features-wise, it could get a TFT instrument cluster with functions such as turn-by-turn navigation. The electric bike is anticipated to launch in the second half of 2026. Positioned as a premium urban commuter, the Ubex is likely to be available through Hero Premia and dedicated Vida showrooms, with an estimated price ranging between Rs 1.8 lakh and Rs 2.5 lakh (both, ex-showroom).
Hero MotoCorp sold 5.58 lakh units in January, marking a growth of 26% over last year's 4.43 lakh units. Of the total, the automaker supplied 5.20 lakh units in the domestic market, a rise of 26.15%, and exported 37,663 units, exhibiting a gain of 23.51%.
