Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has filed a patent for yet another product that's on sale internationally, in India — the NS125 LA scooter. While there's no official confirmation, the design patent filing suggests Honda's growing interest in the retro-modern scooter segment and hints at the possible launch in the near future. The company has a history of patenting designs in India for models that never make it to production here. However, the NS125 LA scooter seems to have a fair chance of going on sale, given the growing presence of retro-modern scooters in the market. If the Honda NS125 LA makes its way to India, it could position itself as a strong rival to the Yamaha Fascino 125, Vespa lineup, and other popular 125cc scooters like the Suzuki Access and TVS Jupiter.
