Honda has launched the Shine 125 Limited Edition and the Dio 125 X-Edition in India, priced at Rs 86,211 and Rs 87,733 (both ex-showroom), respectively. While the engine and feature set remain the same, these special edition models differentiate themselves from the standard models through a range of noticeable cosmetic upgrades. If you are planning to buy or upgrade to a sportier Dio 125 or a more premium Shine 125, here’s a closer look at what these new editions bring to the table.
The special edition of the Honda Shine is a more premium-looking iteration of the standard model, and is based on the top-spec disc brake variant. It features a new Pearl Siren Blue paint finish along with reworked ‘Shine’ tank graphics. There are also chrome accents on the windscreen, side panels, and exhaust cover, as well as Pyrite Brown alloy wheels.

Aside from these visual changes, the motorcycle continues with the same 124cc air-cooled engine that churns out 10.59bhp and 11Nm, and is paired with a five-speed gearbox.
The sportier-looking Dio 125 X-Edition is based on the H-Smart trim. Visually, it distinguishes itself with a dual-tone dark blue and silver paint scheme, complemented by updated silver and orange decals and orange alloy wheels. That said, the scooter has the same features as the standard variant. It is also powered by the same 123.92cc air-cooled engine that generates 8.19bhp and 10.5Nm, and is mated to a CVT automatic.
Introducing the new special editions, Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said: “At Honda, we continuously strive to bring products that resonate with the aspirations of India’s new-age riders. The all-new Dio 125 X Edition and Shine 125 Limited Edition reflect our commitment to offering new expressions of style while upholding the reliability and confidence that customers expect from Honda. Commenting on the launch, Yogesh Mathur, Director, Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said: “The Dio 125 X Edition brings a bold, youthful energy shaped by Honda’s own Gen Z design team—built to reflect the individuality of today’s young riders. The Shine 125 Limited Edition, meanwhile, adopts a clean and timeless design approach that highlights the motorcycle’s clean sculptural form and sense of refinement. With these new editions, we aim to offer riders a blend of style, comfort, and everyday assurance, giving them the confidence to express themselves on the road.
