Keeping up with the DNA of Mercedes-Benz, which also has 25% stake in the company, MV Agusta has revealed its ‘Solarbeam’ – a motorcycle which celebrates the ties between the two companies.

Sometime last year, Mercedes acquired 25% minority stake in MV Agusta and people feared if it meant the end of the glory road which MV Agusta has been riding on for a long time and make it a more commercial and sellable brand. Mercedes soon claimed that it won’t interfere with MV Agusta’s operations, especially development.

Well, both the companies have come forward in showcasing their love for each other in the form of F3 800 in ‘AMG Solarbeam’ colour scheme. This is the motorcycle which celebrates the ties between two of the most iconic brands in the automotive world. Both these brands have claimed to work together in the areas of technology, performance and design to reach greater heights under the brand claim “Beyond Adrenaline."

Specification wise, the MV Agusta F3 800 which is “inspired by AMG GT” is similar to the ongoing model which is powered by a 798cc, inline three-cylinder engine which delivers 148bhp of power. The bike also will also be able to change its character by shifting between four engine maps and eight-stage traction control.

MV Agusta also claimed sometime earlier this year, that it is working on a completely new 1,000cc motorcycle which essentially means the end of road for the existing F4 series. But the good side is that you can expect a 200+bhp motorcycle which will try to annihilate the supremacy the R1, Fireblade, S 1000RR etc. enjoy presently. I think as of now, waiting is all we can do.
