After reducing its price by Rs 1.31 lakh in August, India Kawasaki Motors has now announced a seven-year extended warranty for the MY26 KLX230 in the country. The extended coverage, available for Rs 2,499, goes beyond the standard three-year plan and includes essential components like engine and gearbox parts. It helps make the KLX230 more competitive in a crowded market.

The KLX230 is Kawasaki’s first road-legal dual-sport bike in India, inspired by the legendary KX off-road series. A lightweight frame, upright rider triangle, and ergonomic layout make it beginner-friendly yet capable enough for experienced adventurers, while elements such as the tall front fender, angular headlight housed in a sleek cowl, compact seat, and upswept exhaust give the KLX230 a bold, trail-ready look.

The Kawasaki off-roader comes with a standard 3-year warranty, which can now be extended to a total of 10 years (3 years standard plus 7 years extended) for an additional Rs 2,499. The decade-long coverage, especially for critical components like the engine and gearbox.

Kawasaki KLX230: Engine and Hardware

The KLX230 runs on a 233cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 18.73bhp of maximum power and 19Nm of peak torque, and is paired with a 6-speed transmission. It is equipped with a 37mm telescopic fork at the front with 220mm of travel and a Uni-Trak-linked rear monoshock with 223mm of travel.
