KTM RC200 and RC125 unlisted from India website

KTM India has taken the outgoing model of the RC125 and the RC200 off its India website. Will these supersport soon be replaced with the new ones that have been showcased globally?

KTM has globally unveiled its second generation of the RC125, RC200 and RC390. Days after the showcasing, KTM India has unlisted the outgoing RC125 and the RC200 from their official website. This makes us believe that KTM India could launch the 2022 RC125 and the RC200 sooner than expected. The 2022 KTM RC390 is expected to make its India debut by the festive season.

Now, all three motorcycles have undergone serious changes that include a lighter chassis, a reworked engine that offers improved performance, and updated styling. That being said, there is no clarity on what kind of package KTM India will offer in our market. As the India-spec KTM 390 Adventure misses out on fully adjustable front forks that are available on the international-spec model, there are good odds that the new 2022 KTM RC range will miss out on a few features that are showcased in the globally unveil.

Currently, the KTM RC125 on sale in India is priced at Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom) and the outgoing RC200 costs Rs 2.08 lakh (ex-showroom). The respective next-generation models of the aforementioned motorcycles are likely to see a price tag that is higher by Rs 10,000-15,000. The India launch is expected in the coming months.
