Taiwan-nestled electric scooter manufacturer Gogoro has unveiled its first electric offering for the Indian market. The arrival of Gogoro in India has expanded the line of electric two-wheeler automakers, which include well-known names such as Ola, Bajaj, Ather, TVS, Ampere, Hero Electric, and Okinawa. There are three variants of the brand-new Gogoro Crossover EV: the Crossover GX250, the Crossover 50, and the Crossover S. The Crossover 50 and the Crossover S will go on sale later in the next year, while the former (the Crossover GX250) is now accessible. However, initially, it will be offered as a last-mile delivery, fleet, and logistics service product for B2B clients. Interestingly, Gogoro's debut product is manufactured in Maharashtra and includes various local market-specific adjustments asked by Gogoro pilot riders in the country. Furthermore, the EV manufacturer has introduced the battery-swapping network in our market. It is worth mentioning that the battery swapping stations are presently only available in Delhi and Goa, however, they are scheduled to spread to Mumbai and Pune in the first half of 2024.

Gogoro CrossOver Electric Scooter: Key Specifications

According to Gogoro, the CrossOver series' all-terrain frame enables a variety of riding, storage, and customisation possibilities. It also provides increased stiffness and comfort, as well as 176mm of ground clearance, the highest in Gogoro's existing model range. The CrossOver GX250 electric scooter boasts a 2.5kW (3.3bhp) Direct Drive motor that can reach a high speed of over 60km/h and a range of around 111 kilometres on a single charge.

The Taiwanese automaker claims that the frame makes the suspension system more resilient so that it can sustain heavier weights. Along with four cargo areas—a headlight, a foot, a seat, and a rear cargo space—it will include 26 locking points. For more room for cargo, the back seat can be folded up or removed.
