These bikes are designed to handle any kind of terrain, from easy roads to technical trails. Combining the best features of a road bike and a mountain bike, adventure tourers offer riders a relaxed riding position that makes them suitable for long-distance rides. Adventure Tourer vs Off-Roader: Origin

The origin of the adventure tourer dates back to the year 1980 when BMW debuted its revolutionary R80 G/S motorcycle at the IFMA International Show in Cologne. The debut of this bike forever changed the transportation landscape of the automotive industry. The motorcycle was designed for more than just paved roads, giving riders the ability to take their riding experience beyond the limits of regular motorcycles.

For off-road bikes, it all began more than a century ago, and its roots can be traced back to the British-made BSA (Birmingham Small Arms), which produced its first motorcycle - a 31/2 H.P. belt drive machine. And, the British-made BSA model was a success in the United States. This success spurred further development in BSA's motorcycles throughout the 1920s and beyond, and the company came to be known for its iconic designs and powerful engines. Today's off-road bikes are faster and more powerful than ever before, having evolved over time to meet the needs of both professional and amateur riders.
