Revolt RV 400 Rear Alloy Wheel and Disc Brake

Revolt Motors has announced plans to launch a new electric motorcycle on September 17, 2024, in India. It currently retails the RV400 and the RV400 BRZ in the country. With the upcoming e-bike, Revolt looks to expand its India lineup.

While specifics of the new Revolt motorcycle are under wraps, expect the company to position it above the RV400. If that's the case, the upcoming bike will have a more powerful motor and a larger battery than the RV400. The latter, for your reference, features a 3.2kWh lithium-ion swappable battery that is housed within the tank. The battery sends power to a 3kW mid-drive motor, producing 170Nm of peak torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a sprocket belt drive. According to Revolt, the RV400 has a range of 150km (ARAI certified) in Eco mode. It can reach a maximum speed of 85km/h. Charging time is 4.5 hours, using a 15-ampere socket.

While the Revolt RV400 goes against the 125cc–150cc products from brands such as Tork and Oben Electric, the new Revolt electric bike might have similar levels of performance as 150cc-160cc gas-powered bikes. There is also the possibility that the upcoming bike might be a new variant of the RV400. We will have to wait for a few days to see what the final product will turn out to be.

New Revolt Electric Motorcycle: Design, Features

The latest round of spy images reveals that the new Revolt electric motorcycle will likely get a circular LED headlamp, freshly designed alloy wheels, a sleeker tail section, and a new grab rail. Features-wise, the bike could offer Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, OTA updates, and 3 riding modes. New colour options are also on the cards.

New Revolt Electric Motorcycle: Hardware

The upcoming Revolt electric motorcycle is expected to use an inverted front fork and a rear monoshock for suspension, while disc brakes at both ends should oversee braking chores. A combined braking system (CBS) could be offered as standard.

As mentioned earlier, the new Revolt bike will be launched on September 17, the same day on which Triumph will introduce its Speed 400-based model. Expect the company to price the new Revolt bike higher than the RV400 (Rs 1.38 lakh, ex-showroom).
