Omega Seiki Mobility has launched its first electric passenger scooter, the Vextra, for Rs 99,900 (ex-showroom). In India, the Vextra will face competition from prominent electric scooters such as the Ola S1 Air, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta, and Hero Vida. It aims to target urban commuters and make clean mobility solutions more affordable. Omega Seiki Mobility, widely known for its electric cargo and passenger three-wheelers, has established a strong foothold in the commercial EV segment. With its entry into the personal mobility market, it now strives to strengthen its brand appeal among private buyers. Here’s all you need to know about the OSM Vextra in detail.
The Vextra is touted as a fast, practical, and modern electric scooter for urban commuters. Its functional yet stylish design boasts a comfortable and adaptable riding experience for city riders of all kinds. In terms of features, the scooter gets a 3.5-inch colour LCD display that provides real-time battery status, distance-to-empty, and other essential information. Other highlights include USB charging, reverse parking assist, and optional GSM connectivity.
OSM’s first passenger EV comes equipped with a 3.45kWh IP67-rated LMFP battery and a 3 kW BLDC hub motor. It features three riding modes (Eco, City, and Sport), and can handle inclines of up to 12 degrees. Moreover, OSM claims that the Vextra is capable of reaching 70km/h of top speed and offers a real-world range exceeding 110 kilometres per charge.
The OSM Vextra will roll out of Omega Seiki Mobility’s Faridabad plant, which boasts an annual production capacity of 25,000 units. It will be exported to select African countries.
Omega Seiki Mobility is also planning to introduce an electric motorcycle for the Middle East and Africa.
