Simple Energy has launched the Dot One electric scooter at a starting price of Rs 1.40 lakh, ex-showroom. While the initial price announcement for the Dot One was Rs 1 lakh, this rate was exclusive to pre-bookings made by Simple One customers. With the conclusion of the introductory pricing phase, the updated price for the Simple Dot One has been fixed at Rs 1.40 lakh. Beginning on January 27, interested customers can pay a small token payment of Rs 1,947 to secure their bookings. Customers making the switch from the Simple One to the Simple Dot One will be given priority during delivery, according to Simple Energy.

Simple Energy Dot One: Battery, Range, Top Speed

The newly revealed Dot One scooter has an 8.5kWh electric motor and a fixed 3.7kWh battery pack. This setup produces an IDC range of 160 km and a certified range of 151 km. Its top speed of 105 km/h is identical to that of the Simple One, and its power and torque specs are 11bhp and 72Nm, respectively. In addition to disc brakes, the Dot One's suspension system includes a front telescopic fork and a rear mono-shock. The 12-inch alloy wheels have newly-designed tubeless tyres and these discs are attached to them.

At home, it takes roughly 3 hours and 47 minutes to fully charge the scooter's battery from 0% to 80%. Dot One users also have access to a quick charger, which allows for an 80% charge in just 1.5 km/h. The Simple One, on the other hand, uses a 5 kWh battery pack and claims an IDC range of up to 212 km when fully charged.

Simple Energy Dot One: Features

Using the same underlying platform as its sibling, the Simple Dot One is equipped with a modern 7.0-inch touchscreen TFT display that is also Bluetooth-enabled. The scooter has all-LED lighting, which makes it more visible. The Simple Dot One features a capacious under-seat storage area of 35 litres, providing sufficient space for personal possessions.  The scooter is particularly noteworthy in that it features four distinct ride modes—Eco, Ride, Dash, and Sonic—which enable riders to customise their experience according to their individual preferences and needs.
