Suzuki Access Electric India Launch Likely by Late 2024; Here's What We Know So Far

The Suzuki Access, a popular model among riders, is getting ready for an exciting makeover that will electrify the Indian scooter industry. The Access EV is expected to make its way to our market by the end of the year. Although Suzuki has been testing the Burgman Street electric for the past two years, as seen in multiple spy photos, the firm's new strategy calls for the Access to be marketed in India first. This move indicates a trend towards sustainable mobility among top manufacturers, and it comes just after Honda announced that it will be electrifying its legendary Activa scooter. This will place Access at the forefront of electric scooters from a well-known brand in India, representing a critical turning point in the growth of the nation's automotive industry. 

Suzuki Access Electric: Key Details

The new EV from Suzuki is probably going to be dubbed the e-Access, following the e-Burgman's naming convention. The two-wheeler manufacturer will use the same design strategy as the e-Burgman; the body components and overall look will be identical to the petrol-powered version, but the paint job will be 'blue' to highlight the model's environment-friendly features. 

Besides this, no information is available regarding the motor capacity, battery pack, or real-world range; however, performance should be comparable to a scooter in the 125cc class. When it comes to the feature set, affordability will likely be a major point of consideration. Moreover, standard amenities such as a USB charging port and a digital display are probably going to be included in the Suzuki e-Access to keep the price range affordable. 

Suzuki Access: Price, Features, and Other Details

The Suzuki Access has made a name for itself in the industry due to its premium features and sophisticated design. To accommodate a variety of preferences and riding styles, the scooter is currently offered in four different configurations for its petrol version, including two unique versions: the Ride Connect Edition and the Special Edition. It currently competes with the Honda Activa 125, Yamaha Fascino 125, and TVS Jupiter 125.

With the price starting at Rs 84,135 and going up to Rs 94,736, the Access comes equipped with several noteworthy features, including the ability to run on E20 fuel, an LED headlamp for improved visibility, a side stand interlock system for increased safety, and an external fuel filling function for added convenience. In addition, the model boasts contemporary technological amenities like a USB charging port and Bluetooth-enabled digital display along with a one-push engine start/stop switch, 21.8 litres of storage, and a roomy seat for comfortable rides. It is anticipated that the Suzuki Access's electric version will keep these features while also adding fresh ones to increase its appeal.
