Suzuki Motorcycle India has officially started production of its first electric scooter, the Suzuki e-Access, at its Gurgaon plant, gearing up for its much-anticipated launch in June 2025. This move marks Suzuki’s entry into India’s rapidly expanding electric two-wheeler market, where the e-Access will compete with established players like the Honda Activa e: and other popular electric scooters. Designed to offer a blend of familiar styling with modern electric mobility features, the e-Access aims to attract urban commuters looking for eco-friendly and efficient transportation. With advanced features such as a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, multiple riding modes, and smart connectivity options, Suzuki is positioning the e-Access as a strong contender in India’s push towards sustainable mobility.
The Suzuki e-Access electric scooter builds on the design language of the Access 125 but introduces a more refined and cutting-edge style. It showcases a rectangular LED headlamp, sleek DRLs, and updated indicators that give it a distinctive modern look in the electric scooter lineup. At launch, it will come in three eye-catching dual-tone finishes: Pearl Grace White, Pearl Jade Green, and Metallic Mat Black 2.

For enhanced ride comfort, the e-Access features a telescopic front fork combined with twin shock absorbers at the rear. It rolls on 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, offering solid grip and stability. Stopping power comes from a front disc brake and a rear drum brake, ensuring safety and control.
The scooter also delivers practicality with ample under-seat storage and a digital TFT display that supports smartphone connectivity. This allows for navigation assistance, call and message notifications, and three selectable riding modes: Eco, Ride A, and Ride B. A reverse gear further adds convenience for tight parking spots.
Underneath, the e-Access is powered by a fixed 3.07kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery linked to a swingarm-mounted motor that produces 8.49bhp of maximum power and 15Nm of peak torque. It tops out at 71km/h. Charging times range from 4.5 hours to reach 80% and nearly 7 hours for a full charge on a regular charger, while fast charging dramatically shortens this to about 1 hour 12 minutes and just over 2 hours, respectively.
