Suzuki Hayabusa price in India rises to Rs 18.06 lakh due to GST 2.0, increasing superbike costs without any mechanical changes to the model.

Suzuki Motorcycle India has revised the price of the 2025 Hayabusa following the introduction of the GST 2.0 framework. Under this new tax structure, motorcycles with engines above 350cc now attract a 40 per cent goods and services tax, compared to 28 per cent earlier. This change has had a direct effect on premium two-wheelers, including Suzuki’s flagship superbike. As a result, the ex-showroom price of the Hayabusa has gone up from Rs 16.90 lakh to Rs 18.06 lakh, a rise of Rs 1.16 lakh. Importantly, this increase is due to taxation alone, as there are no mechanical or design revisions to the model.

Mechanically, the Suzuki Hayabusa continues with its 1,340cc inline four-cylinder engine producing 190bhp and 142Nm of torque. It also remains compliant with the latest OBD-2B emission standards. The motorcycle’s features list carries over unchanged, including traction control, cruise control, and a bi-directional quickshifter. This ensures the Hayabusa continues to offer technology suited for long-distance riding as well as performance use.

Earlier this year, Suzuki expanded the colour palette of the 2025 Hayabusa with new dual-tone options, but these did not result in a price change. The effect of GST 2.0 is not limited to the Hayabusa. Other large-capacity Suzuki models have also become costlier.
The V-Strom 800DE now carries a price tag of Rs 11.01 lakh, higher by Rs 71,000, while the GSX-8R is listed at Rs 9.89 lakh, up by Rs 64,000. These adjustments highlight how taxation changes are influencing the premium motorcycle segment.
