Suzuki Motorcycle India has voluntarily recalled approximately 1,056 units of the third-generation Hayabusa (manufactured between March 2021 and September 2024) due to a suspected front brake issue. According to the company's description, 'The front brake lever play increases, in the worst case, the lever contacts with the throttle grip and the braking distance increases.'

For the uninitiated, braking has always been a concern for the Hayabusa line, with earlier models facing criticism for their braking efficiency. However, the issue was addressed with the third-generation model, which features 10mm larger discs and Brembo Stylema callipers.

The most recent recall addresses the issue of excessive front brake level play, which can cause the lever to come into contact with the handlebar, posing a safety risk. For now, there is no official word on this matter, but we expect more information soon.
