Suzuki V-Strom 800DE Tour Variant Globally Revealed with Improved Luggage Capacity

Suzuki recently introduced the standard V-Strom 800DE in India for Rs 10.30 lakh (ex-showroom). In India, the middleweight bike competes against the Triumph Tiger 900, the BMW F850 GS, and the Honda XL750 Transalp.

Suzuki has unveiled the V-Strom 800DE Tour version, with a total luggage capacity of 112 litres, provided by a top box (38 litres) and two side panniers (37 litres, each). The model has only been released for the global market and is yet to be confirmed for India. The Japanese firm states that the Tour model has been introduced to bring down the price of hard panniers, which are offered as accessories on the Road model. For longer journeys, the brand-new version offers plenty of space, specifically for riders who are traveling with a passenger. Suzuki recently introduced the V-Strom 800DE for Rs 10.30 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. Suzuki V-Strom 800DE: Engine on Duty

A 776cc parallel-twin DOHC engine with a 270-degree crankshaft powers the middleweight adventure motorcycle. It produces 82bhp and 78Nm using a six-speed gearbox, and a bidirectional quick-shifter. The V-Strom 800DE is equipped with the exclusive Suzuki Cross Balancer technology, which dampens vibration and promotes smooth riding. It also has a Suzuki clutch assist system, a 2-into-1 exhaust system with a dual-stage catalytic converter, and a liquid cooling system.

Suzuki V-Strom 800DE: Features List

The bike's features comprise a 5-inch colour TFT display, ride-by-wire, traction control with night and day modes, Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS), USB port, riding modes, gravel mode, and dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle boasts 220mm of ground clearance, making it the tallest V-Strom model in the range. It is equipped with 21-inch front and 17-inch rear Dunlop wire-spoked and semi-blocked patterned wheels. In addition, the bike offers a 20-litre fuel tank, 855mm seat height, and three colour options: Champion Yellow No. 2, Glass Sparkle Black, and Glass Matte Mechanical Gray. 

Suzuki V-Strom 800DE: Hardware 

The adventure motorcycle from Suzuki comes with Hitachi Astemo (Showa) inverted front forks featuring 220mm of wheel travel and a monoshock with a spring preload that can be adjusted. The two-wheeler sports dual 310mm discs at the front and a 260 mm disc at the back for braking.
