In the past three decades, TVS Motor has managed to sell almost 50 lakh units of their Scooty.

TVS Motors has confirmed that its Scooty has achieved a 5 million cumulative sales mark. The maker also confirms that the TVS Scooty has been the popular choice amongst female customers for over three decades now. It is largely because of its manageable and urban-friendly dimensions. The Scooty also features TVS’ patented ‘Eazy’ stand technology which reduces the effort to put the vehicle on the centre stand by 30 per cent.

“TVS Scooty range has been synonymous with female mobility for more than three decades in India. Since its launch, the TVS Scooty has been on an iconic journey by catering to the evolving needs of Indian women. TVS Scooty has matched the evolution of its consumer every step of the way. Today, the scooter is an ideal vehicle for the everyday commuter,” said the firm.

The TVS Scooty Pep+ is priced between Rs 57,959 (ex-showroom) and Rs 60,859 (ex-showroom). The scooter features a small capacity 87.8cc engine which is good enough for 5.3bhp at 6,500rpm and 6.5Nm at 3,500rpm. This air-cooled engine is equipped with a fuel injection called the ETFI Tech which has helped the Scooty Pep+ offer 15 per cent more fuel efficiency over its predecessor.

Going by the engine capacity, the TVS Scooty Pep+ has no competition so far, however, its price is comparable with the Hero Pleasure+ which starts at a marginally higher price point of Rs 61,900 (ex-showroom).
