Ultraviolette Tesseract Electric Scooter Launched in India at Rs 1.45 Lakh; Gets 261 km Range

Ultraviolette has launched its first-ever electric scooter in India, the Tesseract, at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the first 10,000 customers can purchase the EV at a special discounted price of Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the e-scooter are now underway with a token amount of Rs 999, while deliveries are set to begin in the first half of 2026. Ultraviolette is renowned for its sporty and performance-focused motorcycles, and its first-ever scooter carries the same DNA. It has a sharp and aggressive design and is available in four colour options (Sonic Pink, Stealth Black, Solar White, and Desert Sand).

The scooter features dual LED projector headlamps with floating DRLs, a contrasting black apron with a fly screen, and boomerang-shaped split taillamps. It is equipped with several advanced features, including front and rear dash cams, radar, and Omnisense mirrors, all designed to improve riding assistance systems like blind spot detection, overtake alerts, and collision warnings.

The EV also has a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a handlebar with haptic feedback, and an underseat storage of 34 litres that is claimed to comfortably fit a full helmet. It rolls on 14-inch wheels and is equipped with disc brakes on both ends. Other highlights include four levels of regen, traction control (two modes), dual-channel ABS, and dynamic stability control.

The Tesseract offers three battery options: 3.5kWh, 5kWh and 6kWh. The smallest 3.5kWh battery has an IDC claimed range of 162 kilometres, while the 5kWh and the 6kWh versions offer IDC ranges of 220 kilometres and 261 kilometres, respectively. The 5kWh and the 6kWh versions of the Tesseract produce 20.10bhp, while the 3.5kWh variant churns out 13.4bhp.

The scooter has a top speed of 125km/h and a 0 to 60km/h sprint time of just 2.9 seconds.
