The UM Renegade Commando Mojave and Renegade Commando Classic have been launched in India for Rs. 1.80 lakh and Rs. 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.

Expanding their offering in the Indian market, American motorcycle maker, UM has introduced two new variants of the Renegade. Through their partnership with Lohia Auto, UM has launched the Renegade Commando Classic and Renegade Commando Mojave.

Rajeev Mishra, CEO, UM Lohia Two Wheelers Pvt. Ltd. said, “There is a latent demand for such bikes with varied customer needs emerging in India. The customers are aware, ready to experiment and follow their gut. With the launch of Renegade Commando Classic and Mojave, we are looking forward to attract young leaders. We are committed in setting a new benchmark in providing excellence not only in our products but also in service experience. Renegade Commando Classic and Renegade Commando Mojave will surely capture up-country customers with a progressive mindset.”

Both bikes are powered by a liquid cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve engine. With a displacement of 279.5cc, the engine produces 24.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 23Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission with overdrive.

The UM Renegade Commando Classic features high gloss metallic dual-tone paint job and more than 3,430 square inches of sparkling chrome. It also comes loaded with a saddlebag and tank cover, polycarbonate windshield, highway engine guards and alloy back rest. The dual-tone paint scheme on the Commando Classic will be offered in a combination of Copper Cream & Candy Metallic Glossy Black.

Additionally, the second motorcycle that has been introduced by UM is the Renegade Commando Mojave. Inspired from the Mojave Desert in North America, the UM Renegade Commando Mojave features desert coloured matte paint, Mojave Desert logos and fuel tank cell phone pad. The Commando Mojave, like the Classic, features electric start, telescopic front forks, and dual-shock rear suspension.
