Royal Enfield delighted its ardent followers by launching several new motorcycles in 2023. The pricing of the much-anticipated Super Meteor 650 was made public, while the new Bullet made its entry in India with some new features. Not only that, but the bikemaker launched the much-awaited new Himalayan at its annual motorcycle festival — MotoVerse in Goa and put rumours to rest by confirming the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650, another highly anticipated model in its range. The local bike manufacturer plans to increase its Indian lineup in 2024 by adding more models in various categories. Although no official statement has been made, the corporation will likely launch four new models in our market. These upcoming Royal Enfield motorcycles in India are expected to go on sale soon. Here are some detailed information about them.

Royal Enfield Shotgun 650

Royal Enfield unveiled the production-spec Shotgun 650 in the US market in December last year, after showcasing its factory custom version — Motoverse Edition in Goa at its annual motorcycle event. The factory-custom motorcycle was limited to only 25 units, and available to only festival visitors. Priced at Rs 4.25 lakh (ex-showroom), the factory-custom motorcycle will begin reaching to respective 25 customers from January onwards.

Talking of the production-spec variant, the Shotgun 650 includes a rounded headlamp with a unique nacelle, chopped fenders, twin blacked-out peashooter exhausts, LED lighting, and more. A new in-app feature called Wingman, which lets you quickly and conveniently check vital information like battery life, fuel level, engine on/off status, and servicing warnings, is also included with the bike. There are four other paint schemes available for the production version — Sheet Metal Grey, Green Drill, Plasma Blue, and Stencil White.

Similar in mechanical specs to its 650cc siblings, the Continental GT, Interceptor, and Super Meteor, the  Shotgun 650 runs on a 648cc parallel-twin cylinder engine. It generates 52Nm and 46bhp, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. With an upside-down forks up front and a twin-shock down back, the bike is equipped with 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. In our market, the upcoming Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is expected to carry a starting price of around Rs 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom).

Royal Enfield Scrambler 650

While it is being tested, multiple pictures of the upcoming Scrambler 650 have been captured throughout India and abroad. Though Royal Enfield hasn't announced the specific details, it's expected that the Scram 650 and the Interceptor 650 will have a similar architecture, with a few exceptions. The upcoming motorcycle is anticipated to sport block-pattern tyres and spoked wheels, as evidenced by previous spy images. Additionally, the front forks are upside-down, compared to the telescopic ones on the Interceptor, while a two-spring suspension still supports the rear. It will reportedly distinguish itself from the other 650cc models with its two-into-one exhaust unit.

The new Royal Enfield motorcycle is also expected to sport an offset single-pod console, an oval-shaped side panel, a higher handlebar, ribbed seat, and full LED lighting. Mechanically, the bike will have the same 648cc parallel-twin motor, found in the Interceptor 650, the Continental GT 650, and the Super Meteor 650. The Cruiser bike is likely to be priced from around Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.

Royal Enfield Classic Bobber 350

The rival to the Jawa 42 Bobber and the Jawa Perak, is amongst the most anticipated bikes in 2024. While the manufacturer hasn't released any precise details, the two-wheeler is anticipated to sport bodywork akin to that of the Royal Enfield Classic 350. It will have a single-seat layout and be constructed on the brand's new J-series platform, which also supports the Classic 350, the Meteor 350, and the Hunter 350. When it comes to features, the bobber might be equipped with tripper navigation or a twin-pod instrument console as standard. It might also continue to feature a USB charging connector and a semi-digital console.

The upcoming Bobber's mechanical parts will comprise the well-known 349cc SOHC single-cylinder air- and oil-cooled engine. There isn't a definitive update yet, but the bike might be equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is priced between Rs 1.93 lakh and Rs 2.25 lakh ex-showroom. The price of the new Classic 350 single-seat bobber may be comparable or slightly more depending on the extra amenities.

Royal Enfield Hunter 450

Royal Enfield Hunter 350

The Royal Enfield Hunter 450 is one of the most anticipated motorcycles on the list, with a price tag of approximately Rs 2.4 lakh (ex-showroom). It is likely to be a more reasonably priced version of the new Himalayan, with the same 452cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC four-valve engine producing 40bhp of maximum power and 40Nm of peak torque. The new Hunter, which will include the strongest single-cylinder engine in Royal Enfield's portfolio, is anticipated to stand out as the most noteworthy option in the class with this major upgrade. As a result, it could be the rival to the performance-focused bike like the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 in the market.

The bike's design and essential characteristics are most likely going to be similar to the Hunter 350, except for an upgraded engine. It is important to note that these are only conjectures, and precise information may surface on the internet closer to the launch.
