Vida, the electric division of Hero MotoCorp, has launched the Dirt.E K3 in India, priced at Rs 69,990 for the first 300 buyers. The electric off-road machine is designed specifically for kids aged 4 to 10, giving them their first taste of dirt biking and helping them begin their motorsport journey with a foundation as strong as steel. The DIRT.E K3 is the result of a global collaboration between Hero Tech Centre Germany and the Centre of Innovation and Technology in Jaipur. It will be manufactured at Vida’s eco-conscious, state-of-the-art facility in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Read on for more details.

The Dirt.E K3 has a classic off-road silhouette, a sleek, narrow frame, and a high-mounted, beak-style front fender. It is designed with longevity in mind, featuring a three-stage adjustable system that allows seamless transitions between small, medium, and large configurations using just a single tool. By adjusting the seat height and wheelbase, the system ensures the motorcycle evolves with the child, extending its usability over multiple years.
Additionally, optional front and rear suspension components can be added when the rider progresses to a level that benefits from them.
The DIRT.E K3 features a 350W continuous motor with a 500W peak output, paired with a 360Wh removable battery that can be charged easily at home. The battery fully charges in roughly three hours and provides up to three hours of ride time, depending on terrain and mode. Hero says that the battery’s detachable design enhances convenience and safety, making it easier for parents to charge it indoors. The battery is held securely by a magnetic connector, while the sealed casing shields it from dust and moisture.

The bike comes with three selectable ride modes – Beginner, Amateur, and Pro – with maximum speeds of 8km/h, 16km/h, and 25km/h, respectively. Through a dedicated app, parents can manage the bike’s speed settings, restrict certain modes, and keep track of their child’s riding activity.
