In June 2021, Yamaha two-wheeler India substantially reduced the price of the FZ 25 and FZS 25. The price cut ranged between Rs 14,300 and Rs 18,800. While the 250cc motorcycles have become more affordable, the YZF-R15 V3 and MT-15 have seen a price hike.

The Metallic Black and the Dark Matt Blue coloured MT-15 has seen a price hike of Rs 5,000. The Ice Fluo-Vermillion colour scheme is now pricier by Rs 4,000. All variants of the Yamaha MT-15 now cost Rs 1,45,900 (ex-showroom).

There are no mechanical changes in both motorcycles. Both the YZF-R15 V3 and MT-15 continue with the same 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, mated to a six-speed gearbox. The R15 produces 18.3bhp and 14.1Nm, while the MT-15 produces 18.2bhp and 13.9Nm. Both motorcycles continue with the same feature list and colour options as before.
