You Can Now Get the Oben Rorr Electric Bike with a Rs 40,000 Discount But There is a Catch

Bengaluru-based Oben Electric recently launched its first showroom in the national capital of India, marking its foray into the North Indian market. On the occasion, the company announced an introductory offer of Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for its flagship electric motorcycle, the Rorr. Notably, the price is inclusive of the state subsidy of Rs 20,000 but is valid only for the first 100 buyers in Delhi. Elsewhere, the same motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs 40,000 more expensive.

The new showroom signifies the first step in a larger plan since Oben has plans to go on an expansion in Delhi by establishing a network of 12 showrooms and service centres across Delhi-NCR, this year. It has dedicated zones offering in-depth information and hands-on experiences with Oben Electric's products. Moreover, according to Oben Electric, it is focussed on providing the best after-sales and service experience to Oben Rorr customers through its Oben Care service centres, which offer comprehensive after-sales and service support, including convenient home pick-up and drop-off services.

Oben Electric currently operates a total of 8 showrooms, including the one in Pitampura, across cities. And the Rorr is the only bike it offers in the country.

Oben Rorr: Specs

The Oben Rorr gets a 4.4kWh battery and an 8kW IPMSM motor, yielding an IDC range of 187 kilometres on a single charge. The only way to charge the battery is by using a 15Amp plug, for which you need a 15Amp socket. The motorcycle takes just 2 hours to be fully charged. A potential competitor to 150cc ICE-powered motorcycles in the country, the Rorr is said to have a top speed of 100km/h.
