2019 Datsun Redi-Go launched with new safety features

The 2019 Datsun Redigo gets a driver airbag, rear parking sensors, high-speed warning and seat belt reminder across all of its variants. Prices start from Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom). 

Datsun has updated the Redigo with new safety features. The new model comes with a driver airbag, rear-parking sensors, high-speed warning and seat belt reminder across all its variants. The updated 2019 Redigo has been priced from Rs 2.79 lakh for the base version to Rs 4.37 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-end AMT variant.

The new safety features have been introduced mainly owing to the new crash norms that come into force from October 2019. Apart from the new safety equipment,  the Redigo already comes with ABS and EBD as standard. Safety features aside, the 2019 Redigo is unchanged from the existing model. This means it's offered with the same the set of 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engines. The former is rated at 53bhp and 73Nm, while the latter develops 67bhp and 91Nm. Both engines come paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. The 1.0-litre version is also available with an automated manual transmission (AMT).

The new Redigo is available in five colours, namely, Ruby Red, Lime Green, White, Grey and Silver. The entry-level hatchback comes with 2 years/unlimited kilometres standard warranty, which can be further extended for 2 or 3 years/unlimited kilometres. The Datsun Redigo competes with the Maruti Suzuki Alto and Renault Kwid.

D 0.8L – Rs 2.79 lakh

A EPS 0.8L – Rs 3.33 lakh

S 0.8L – INR 3.62 lakh

S 1.0L – Rs 3.90 lakh
