Datsun is targeting the lifestyle compact vehicle segment with its ruggedly styled Go Cross concept that is aimed at the sense of adventure of prospective buyers. The Go Cross concept is not very different from the Datsun Go and Go+ models that are on sale in India as it is based on the same platform used by the two production models. While sales of the Datsun Go and Go+ models have not really taken off in the Indian market, the concept of a compact crossover which is styled like an SUV in the form of the Go-cross concept should hold good potential in our SUV crazed nation, should it make it into production that is.
