The 2022 Venue facelift will feature Hyundai’s latest design language, similar to its global model.

It has been three years since Hyundai launched the Venue in India, and we now have confirmation that its facelift will be launched on June 16. Hyundai has revealed design sketches of the SUV along with a video of its tail lamps, and we are impressed.

The facelifted Venue features an updated design, that is similar to the Hyundai cars sold in global markets. It is also similar to the updated Tucson that will be coming soon to India. While the overall shape of the updated Venue looks similar to the outgoing model, the grille, bumpers, headlamps and tail-lamps have all been given a do-over.

The stand out bits are the grille and the connected LED tail lamps. They give the Venue the look and feel of a more premium car.

As far as powertrain options go, Hyundai is expected to carry-forward the existing options. So, you will get the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and the 1.5-litre diesel engines of the outgoing model. Hyundai could shuffle up the transmission options, along with variant-wise availability of powertrains.

As far as the price goes, we don’t believe Hyundai will hike the prices by too much. At the max, a premium of Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 might apply over the outgoing model. For your reference, the Venue currently retails between Rs 7.11 lakh and Rs 11.84 lakh (both ex-showroom).
