2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza to launch tomorrow - Here's what we know so far

The new Maruti Suzuki Brezza will be launched in India tomorrow. The car is expected to come with a host of upgrades over the previous model. Here's what we know so far.

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza is all set to make its debut tomorrow in India. Bookings for the car recently commenced and the company has stated that it received 4,500 bookings on the first day. Ahead of this, leaked documents have shown that the new Brezza will come in four variant options – Lxim VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. 

One day before its launch, we have gathered several bits of information regarding the car and here is how we piece it all together. 

2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Exterior

In terms of dimensions, the Brezza will be 3,995mm long, 1,790mm wide, and 1,685mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,500mm. In the updated version, the car comes with a revised front fascia with a new grille, flanked by LED projector headlamps with integrated DRLs. In addition to this, the new front bumper gets new foglamp housings and a silver skid plate to highlight the SUV's character.

The car will sit on a set of new alloy wheels with squared-off wheel arches. At the back, the car comes with a pair of redesigned LED taillights and Brezza lettering across the boot lid. 

2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Interior

On the inside, the new Brezza will get a revised upholstery option with a black and brown theme. Also, the car will get an electric sunroof for the first time in addition to features like a 360-degree camera, a heads-up display, and a nine-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment unit.

Creature comfort elements come in the form of an ARKAMYS music system, cooled glovebox, new flat-bottom steering wheel with controls, ambient lighting, new controls for the HVAC system, and a 12V socket in the rear row, and a push start/stop button.

The safety feature list in the new Brezza will include six airbags, an electronic stability program, hill-hold assist, roll-over mitigation, and a reverse parking camera.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Engine

We expect the new Brezza to be powered by the same 1.5-litre, K12C petrol engine that produces 103bhp and 138Nm of torque. In addition to this, the car will also get a mild-hybrid motor that will produce 3bhp at 900rpm. Transmission options will include a five-speed manual unit and a new six-speed torque converter option.
