At the 16th edition of the Indian Auto Expo, Kia Motor India showcased several new products, including the new EV9 SUV concept and the new-generation Carnival (KA4). The firm was also working on the Seltos makeover, which was supposed to be unveiled at the biennial auto show, but the manufacturer decided to keep the car under wraps as of yet. The 2023 Kia Seltos facelift, however, is already available in a few global markets, such as South Korea and the United States. The new SUV has a new turbocharged petrol engine, an enhanced interior, and tweaks to the exterior design. Although the exact launch date remains to be disclosed by the automaker, we anticipate the new Kia Seltos facelift to be launched in the second quarter of 2023, most likely around the month of April. Powertrain
The new 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine will be replacing the current 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine in the India-spec Kia Seltos facelift. The reason being that the current 1.4-litre turbo may not meet the upcoming real-world driving emission standards, that will come into effect in April 2023. The new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine has a power output of 158bhp and a torque output of 260Nm. There will be a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT transmission options available to choose from. A 115bhp, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 115bhp, 1.5-litre diesel engine will also be offered.
Exterior Appearance
The updated Seltos features the same styling tweaks as the international model. It has a bigger, tiger-nose front grille with full projection LED headlamps, Star Map signature lighting across the length of the grille, a newly designed bumper, and vertically curved fog lights that are also daytime running lights. Rear LED taillights have been modified, and the bumper has been modernised. Additionally, it has sequential LED turn indicators like those found in the Audi models.

Interior and Features
Inside, the 2023 Kia Seltos is nearly comparable to the current model. It has a panoramic screen display that merges the instrument cluster and the 10.25-inch centre display. The infotainment system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as navigation and voice commands. It has a redesigned digital instrument panel, an electronic parking brake, automatic air conditioning with rear AC vents, and other features. The SUV also has a panoramic sunroof, which the present model lacks. The installation of radar-based driver assistance systems is the most significant change. The 2023 Kia Seltos includes ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, forward collision-avoidance system, automatic emergency braking, blind spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross traffic collision-avoidance assist, safe exit warning, lane following assist, high beam assist, and driver attention warning.
