2026 Lotus Emira

The Lotus Emira sports car has received several key upgrades for the international market, most notably a new V6 SE variant that now sits at the top of the lineup. It retains the signature six-cylinder powertrain of the mid-engined premium sports car— a supercharged 3.5-litre V6 producing 394.5 bhp. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox with a standard limited-slip differential, or optionally, a smooth-shifting automatic transmission. This setup boasts a 0–100km/h acceleration time of 4.3 seconds. However, Lotus has refined the V6, with a new compression mount for the manual gearbox, ensuring sharper, more precise shifts that enhance driver engagement.

The model benefits from revised suspension geometry and optimised damper calibration for precise handling and ride quality. It offers two distinct chassis settings: Tour (engineered for everyday usability), and Sport (a firmer setup for heightened responsiveness and driver feedback).

In India, the Lotus Emira was launched in January at a starting price of Rs 3.22 Crore (ex-showroom). Currently, there is no news about whether the latest updates will be introduced for the Indian market.

2026 Lotus V6 SE Trim: What's More?

The Emira V6 SE distinguishes itself with Zinc Grey paintwork, accented by exclusive V6 SE badging, red brake callipers, 20-inch forged alloy wheels, and an extended Black Pack for a more aggressive stance. Inside, the cabin boasts a sporty luxury with Alcantara upholstery, contrast stitching, and metal sport pedals.

Lotus also offers an impressive level of personalisation, with 15 exterior paint options, seven interior themes, four brake calliper colours, and eight distinct wheel designs. In the UK, the Emira V6 SE starts at £96,500, which equates to approximately Rs 1.12 crore, while in Germany it is priced from €117,500, or around Rs 1.15 crore.

New Entry-level Variant

The Turbo is the base model in the Emira family. It shares its 2.0-litre twin-scroll turbocharged four-cylinder engine and 8-speed dual-clutch transmission with the Turbo SE—both developed in collaboration with technology partner AMG—and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.4 seconds. Despite its entry-level tag, it shares key dynamic features with the V6 variant, including selectable Tour and Sport driving modes. Other highlights include an integrated rear spoiler and Lotus’s signature electro-hydraulic power steering. On the design front, the model stands out with elements like Turbo badging, satin silver trim, and the yellow-black Lotus crest. It starts at £79,500 (approximately around Rs 92.2 lakh) in the UK.

Other Highlights

All Lotus Emira models now feature technical upgrades for better track performance and comfort. These include an optimized cooling system for improved flow and reduced weight, as well as fine-tuned air-conditioning and engine thermostat settings for better climate control and efficiency. The dual-clutch transmission now delivers quicker, smoother shifts. For safety, the Emira includes standard Autonomous Emergency Braking and Lane Departure Warning, with an optional Extended Co-Driver Pack adding Adaptive Cruise Control and more.

Lotus has also introduced the Racing Line package for the Turbo SE and V6 SE. This option features a sleek lower pinstripe available in yellow, red, or silver, coordinated with the brake callipers and matching mirror caps. The look is completed with Racing Line badges accented in the chosen colour, high-gloss black wheels, and a black-and-silver exterior logo. Inside, the sporty theme continues with bespoke stitching and a special interior badge in the same accent shade, perfectly tying the package together.
