While Tesla’s entry into India remains highly anticipated, the American EV maker has rolled out notable upgrades for its two global offerings. Both the Model S sedan and Model X SUV now sport a more refined design and come equipped with additional features. Tesla has also enhanced the range of both models. However, these improvements come with a price hike, with costs rising by up to USD 5,000 (approximately Rs 4.3 lakh). Here’s what has changed with the Mode S and the Model X.
The most noticeable cosmetic updates are found on the Plaid variants, which now offer an eye-catching Frost Blue hue, available as an optional extra. Tesla has redesigned the front and rear bumpers and added a new front-facing camera to enhance safety and functionality. The Model S and Model X now feature enhanced suspension and new aero-optimised alloy wheels (19-inch for S, 20-inch for X), with optional 21-inch and 22-inch upgrades.

Both Tesla models now come with Active Noise Cancelling to deliver a quieter cabin atmosphere. The Yoke steering wheel option is available only on Plaid variants. Meanwhile, the Model X’s third row has been reconfigured to offer increased legroom, improving passenger comfort on longer trips.
A major improvement for the Model S and X is their increased range. The Model S Long Range now leads Tesla's lineup with a range of 660 kilometres. Meanwhile, the Plaid variant now offers a range of 592 kilometres.
