Toyota India has issued a voluntary recall for 2,257 units of the ninth-generation Camry sedan, which is available in a single variant in the country. This is the second round of recalls for the current-gen Camry in India, with both recalls pertaining to unrelated issues. The cars affected by the latest recall include those that were manufactured from July 18, 2024 to September 23, 2025.
The reason for the recall has been stated as a potential fault in the 360-degree camera system of the cars, wherein a software error in the respective ECU could cause the rear view image to either freeze while reversing the car, or not appear at all, in certain cases.

If your Camry was manufactured within the above stated timeline, your Toyota dealer should reach out to you shortly in order to carry out the required repairs/replacements. Alternatively, you can contact your nearest dealership or Toyota’s customer care centre at 1800-309 0001.

The previous recall affected five cars, and was part of a bigger global recall. It was made due to a software issue with the combination meter, which could cause the display to go black, despite the car being started.
