Aston Martin revamped the Vantage for 2024 in February, and the model has finally arrived in India for Rs 3.99 crore (ex-showroom). The British automaker has not only updated the vehicle's look but significantly overhauled its cabin as well. However, the biggest update is beneath the hood, where the Vantage's AMG-sourced engine now delivers an additional 152bhp and 115Nm of torque. The brand has announced that the deliveries of the Vantage will commence in Q4 2024. In the Indian market, the new Vantage locks horns with the Porsche 911, BMW M8, Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door, and Ferrari Roma. The India model lineup of Aston Martin comprises the DB12, DBX, and DBX 707.

The 2024 version of the Vantage boasts a significantly redesigned front fascia, emphasised by a noticeably wider grille that amplifies the car's bold appearance. While the headlights now feature new, larger three-piece LED DRLs with a more circular shape than the previous model, updated side intakes further highlight the car's dynamic look. Moreover, the revised rear bumper and diffuser enhance the Vantage's aggressive stance. The Vantage will be equipped with 21-inch Michelin Pilot S 5 tyres as standard.

Aston Martin Vantage: Under the Hood

The hand-built 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine powering the new Vantage has undergone significant modifications to produce 665bhp and 800Nm of peak torque. The eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox mated to the V8 engine, uses an electromechanical limited-slip differential to propel the rear wheels. Acceleration is further enhanced by reducing the transmission's final-drive ratio.

The engine's output, which is 152bhp and 115Nm more than its predecessor, is the most substantial increase in engine output yet. According to Aston Martin, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in only 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 325km/h. This is faster than the previous V8 model, which could only attain a peak speed of 313km/h and required an additional half-second to reach 100km/h.

Additionally, the carmaker claims that changes have been made to the car's electronic power steering, launch control system, and multiple traction-management modes to enhance both performance and driver involvement. A braking system consisting of front 400mm steel rotors with six-piston callipers and rear 360mm rotors with four-piston callipers brings the model to a standstill. Carbon ceramics are optional.
