Auto Expo 2023: MG eHS Plug-in Hybrid Unveiled in India-All You Need to Know

Auto Expo 2023: At the latest edition of the biennial auto show, MG Motor India displayed a variety of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. One of them was the brand-new eHS plug-in hybrid SUV. According to the manufacturer, the car offers a blend of efficiency and performance, along with a spacious interior and athletic look, to provide the best of both worlds. The eHS plug-in hybrid is available in two variants in the international market – Comfort and Luxury. The car is also available in four different colours: Medal Silver, Phantom Red, Pebble Black, and Dover White. The new eHS is positioned above the MG Astor, and its look is reminiscent of the pre-facelift MG ZS EV marketed in India.

Coming to the powertrain, the new MG eHS plug-in hybrid comprises a 1.5-litre GDI engine and an electric motor and produces a combined power output of 251bhp. The vehicle can accelerate from a halt to 100km/h in 6.9 seconds.

The SUV is 4,574mm in length, 1,876mm in width, and 1,664mm in height. The wheelbase is 2,720mm long, while the ground clearance is 145mm. The vehicle features a panoramic sunroof, LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, and satellite navigation, depending on the model, and is available with 17- and 18-inch alloy wheel options.

The MG eHS plug-in hybrid gets heated and electrically adjustable leather-wrapped sporty seats, ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera, an alloy sporty pedal, a rain sensor, and a rear camera. The eHS also has a sizable touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
