A 60.48kWh battery pack powers the India-spec BYD Atto 3, which boasts a claimed 521km of driving range on a single charge. The e-SUV comes equipped with a single electric motor, which churns out 201bhp of maximum power and 310Nm of peak torque. It is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 7.3 seconds. According to the Chinese automaker, a DC fast charger can fully charge this electric SUV from 0 to 80 per cent in about 50 minutes. To fully charge up, however, the standard AC home charger will need about 10 hours.
Some of the key features of the BYD Atto 3 include the L2 Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) BYD Dipilot, an NFC card key, a 12.8-inch adaptive rotating screen, a 360-degree holographic transparent imaging system, a panoramic sunroof, and a Vehicle to Load (VTOL) mobile power station. Apart from these, the Atto 3 is also equipped with features like wireless smartphone charging, CN95 air filter, electric seat adjust, a one-touch electric tailgate, an eight-speaker audio system, PM2.5 air filter, voice control, and multi-colour gradient ambient lighting, which can adapt to the music.
As standard, the BYD Atto 3 comes with a 7kW home charger (plus installation), a portable 3kW charging box, a 3-year free 4G Data subscription, six-year roadside assistance, and six free maintenance services. Apart from this, the BYD Atto 3 offers a warranty of 8 years/1.6-lakh kilometres (whichever is earlier) for the traction battery, 8 years/1.5-lakh kilometres for the motor and the motor controller, and 6-year/1.5-lakh kilometres for the overall vehicle. In the Indian market, the car competes with the likes of the MG ZS EV and the Hyundai Kona Electric.
There are four colour options available for the BYD Atto 3 electric SUV – Boulder Grey, Parkour Red, Ski White, and Surf Blue. BYD also debuted a Limited Edition Atto 3 in an exclusive Forest Green shade at the recently held 2023 Auto Expo for Rs 34.49 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
