BYD Seal EV Variant-wise Features Leaked Ahead Of India Launch

BYD is all set to launch the Seal EV in India on March 5. It will be brought into the nation through the CBU route. Let's have a look at the variant-wise features of the upcoming BYD electric sedan.

While the BYD Seal's launch in India is around the corner, the details about the car's variants have appeared online. Based on the industry reports, the electric Seal will have three versions: Dynamic Range, Premium Range, and Performance, and two battery options. The base model—Dynamic Range—will probably have a smaller 61.4kWh battery, while the remaining two models will feature—a larger 82.5kWh battery. With a single electric motor configuration and a larger 82.5kWh battery, the Premium Range version produces 305bhp and 360Nm. It has a rear-wheel drive setup. The Performance variant, on the other hand, uses the same battery but has an all-wheel-drive dual electric motor configuration that generates 514bhp and 670Nm. Regarding performance, the electrified sedan's RWD and AWD powertrains have a claimed range of 570 kilometres and 520 kilometers, respectively, according to WLTC.

In contrast, the 61.4kWh Dynamic Range version claims a range of 460 kilometres while providing 198bhp and 310Nm. Now, let's explore the features of the upcoming BYD model's three variants in depth.
