Citroen C3 Aircross Dhoni Edition Launched in India at Rs 11.82 Lakh

Citroen has launched a unique and special edition of the C3 Aircross in India called the Dhoni Edition. As the name implies, the model honours the company's new brand ambassador, and former Team India skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. It's limited to just 100 units. The new variant offers significant cosmetic and feature enhancements over the standard SUV. It is priced at Rs 11.82 lakh (ex-showroom). Mechanically, however, the limited-run model remains unchanged. To know about the special Dhoni Edition in detail, read on.

Citroen C3 Aircross Dhoni Edition: What's New?

The edition is distinguished by a '7' number on the hood, tailgate, and back doors, and a 'Dhoni Edition' inscription on the front doors, beneath the ORVMs. Inside, the limited-run version has black and beige seat covers with contrasting orange and blue inlays, a driver seat with the number 7, and a front passenger seat with the iconic cricketer's autograph. It is also equipped with lighted sill plates, cushions, and seatbelt covers bearing the jersey number and signature of the MS Dhoni. Another notable highlight of the exclusive variant is the front dashcam. In addition, each special edition model will have a Dhoni goodie bag, with one out of 100 units featuring cricketer-signed wicketkeeping gloves.

The SUV retains the 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ABS with EBD, hill hold assist, rear parking sensors, manual climate control, a 7-inch digital driver's display, dual front airbags, rearview camera and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Citroen C3 Aircross Dhoni Edition: Mechanical Specs

The mid-size SUV continues to use a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 108bhp and 205Nm. It can be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed torque converter.

Citroen C3 Aircross: Price and Rivals 

In India, the standard C3 Aircross SUV is priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 14.11 lakh (ex-showroom pan India). It competes with a range of models in the segment such as the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the MG Astor, the Skoda Kushaq, the Hyundai Creta, the Kia Seltos, and the Volkswagen Taigun.
