Citroen C3 Aircross Spotted Ahead of India Launch, Shows Interior, Design and Features

Citroen India will reveal the C3 Aircross SUV in India tomorrow. Ahead of its debut, a set of fresh images, showing its interior are doing rounds on the internet. The leaked images have revealed that the upcoming SUV will have three-row of seats. According to the spy shots, the interior of the SUV will comprise a larger, fully digital instrument cluster, along with the current 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Although the upcoming SUV will follow the standard C3 hatchback, it will likely get more features than its small sibling. Citroen C3 Aircross: What Interior Spy Shots Reveal?

According to new spy images, the Citroen C3 Aircross SUV will flaunt a larger fully-digital instrument cluster, in addition to the existing 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other notable interior features of the SUV comprise third-row seats as well as roof-mounted air conditioning vents with a cabin lamp for rear passengers. The new SUV from Citroen will probably offer a seven-seat configuration, and the last row's occupants will likely get split seats and USB ports.

Citroen C3 Aircross: Exterior 

Talking about the exterior, the new SUV by Citroen will be similar to the C3 hatchback except for a few design improvements. It continues with the split headlamps and two-slat chrome grille like its sibling but has a new and smaller fog lamp housing. Further, it flaunts alloy wheels, featuring a new dual-tone design. Additionally, the bumper now has additional body-colored accents in the centre. Right now, there is no official confirmation, but the carmaker could offer mono-tone and dual-tone paint schemes for the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross. Alloy wheels, square-shaped taillights, and body cladding across the bottom panels are a few other exterior highlights.

Citroen C3 Aircross: Powertrain

Under the hood, the upcoming SUV could get a 1.2-litre three-cylinder, turbocharged PureTech petrol engine, similar to the standard C3. The unit is capable of putting out a maximum power of 108bhp and 190Nm of peak torque. For transmission, it uses a six-speed manual gearbox. Currently, there is no official confirmation, but the upcoming SUV could get an automatic gearbox option. 

In alignment with a widespread business strategy to go electric in the Indian automotive sector, many automakers are offering electric powertrains to their several popular models. Citroen could follow footsteps of such automakers and may launch the upcoming SUV with an electric drivetrain option in the future.
