The 2018 Datsun Redigo Limited Edition comes with snazzy graphics for upcoming festivities.

While there’s still some time left for the festive season, Datsun has decided to have a head-start, as the company has launched a special limited-edition variant of the Redigo. Billed as the Redigo Limited Edition 2018, the new variant comes with a few cosmetic upgrades so that one can differentiate it from the regular model. Interestingly, it’s only offered with the manual versions of the 0.8-litre (₹3.58 lakh) and 1.0-litre (₹3.85 lakh) variants, which means there’s no special edition AMT for the time being.

Highlights of the limited edition Redigo include a roof wrap, new body graphics and bumper undercovers. Additionally, you’ll also find a red insert on the grill and graphics on the tailgate. Inside, the interior continues to come with a red and black theme, and there are red accents on AC vents. The car is also equipped with rear parking sensors with a distance display device. Three colours will be available, namely, white, silver and red.

Commenting on the launch, Peter Clissold, Vice President – Marketing at Nissan Motors India, said, 'This festive season, Datsun wants to make the celebration more special by delighting customers with the powerful and vibrant Redigo Limited Edition. The refreshing design along with power packed performance is a testimony to our commitment towards customers to offer progressive mobility solutions.'

Mechanically, however, there’s no revision in either of the models. This means that the entry-level 0.8-litre version comes with a 799cc, three-cylinder engine, which develops 53bhp and 73Nm, while the 1.0-litre version has 999cc and produces 67bhp and 91Nm. Both engines come paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
