Fiat officially reveals images of its Punto successor and we have to say it looks rather nice!

Fiat of Brazil has officially released images of its upcoming Argo hatchback. Destined to replace the third-generation Punto which has been around since 2005, the Argo will be a modern evolution of the car. Ever since the Grande Punto made its debut it has been known for being a good looking car and you can’t expect any less from the Italians as the all-new Argo too looks quite good.

A well-sculpted body reveals a nice power dome on the bonnet, a bold front grille, the LED head lamps look contemporary, meanwhile, the wide air dam in the front bumper gives the car a nice sporty touch. A nice unique design touch is the centre of the roof protrudes into the windscreen area. Around the side, a sharp shoulder line, nicely flared wheel arches and a kink in the lower section of the doors and Abarth style diamond cut alloy wheels do justice to the side profile of the car. The back of the car gets plenty of sharp design lines on the hatch and bumper to once again give the car a unique design adds to this the edgy looks of the tail lamps and the inclusion of a faux air diffuser at the bottom of the bumper and a well-finished tail pipe give the car a very attractive stance.

While there is some guess work about engines at the moment, when the car does eventually make it to India it could continue to use the 1.3 litre Fiat MultiJet diesel engine and the 1.2-litre petrol unit. Meanwhile, a hot Abarth version with the 1.4-litre TJet turbo petrol would do justice to the Argo’s looks. The popular five-speed manual gearbox could continue the inclusion of an automatic would be welcome.

We will bring you more details on the new 2018 Fiat Argo as and when they become available. So, stay tuned.
