Fiat launches cross-hatch Avventura at Rs 5.99 lakhs

Fiat took a very competitive route as they launched their new cross-hatchback, the Avventura, at a starting price of Rs 5.99 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. It will square off against the Ford EcoSport, Volkswagen Cross Polo and Toyota Etios Cross.
There is no denying that the Italian styling is more pleasing to the eyes than its rivals thanks to its budging
muscles and plastic body cladding. The large tailgate mounted spare wheel and all chrome tail pipe gives the Avventura an SUV stance and a bold look. It also has a class leading 205mm ground clearance and 16 inch alloy wheels, which comes standard in all variants, further add to its high stance.
The Avventura is available in two engine options -- 88bhp 1.4-litre petrol and 91bhp 1.3-litre Multijet diesel. Both the engines come with a five-speed manual transmissions. Fiat claims a fuel efficiency of 14.4kmpl from the petrol and 20.5kmpl from the diesel respectively. The Avventura comes with a standard 3 years/ 1 lakh km warranty.
The new cross gets two petrol variants – Active and Dynamic, and three in the diesel, including the top variant Emotion.
