Ford and Isuzu offering GST benefits by slashing prices

Before the implementation of GST in India, Ford and Isuzu have decided to slash prices of their products. Isuzu Motors India and Ford India have slashed prices of their cars prior to the new tax slabs being introduced with the implementation of GST from July 1, 2017.

Before the implementation of GST in India, Ford and Isuzu have decided to slash prices of their products.

Isuzu Motors India and Ford India have slashed prices of their cars prior to the new tax slabs being introduced with the implementation of GST from July 1, 2017.

Manufacturers like BMW and Mercedes-Benz have already announced that they will be passing on the benefits to the consumers by significantly slashing prices of their models. Ford and Isuzu have also passed on the benefits to the customers as Ford has slashed prices up to Rs. 30,000 while Isuzu is providing benefits of up to Rs. 1.5 lakh.

Ford India has discounted the EcoSport by Rs. 20,000 - Rs. 30,000, while the Figo hatchback and the Figo Aspire have seen their prices being slashed by Rs 10,000 – Rs. 25,000. The EcoSport is now priced between Rs. 7.18 lakh and Rs. 10.76 lakh. The Figo hatchback is now offered in the price range of Rs. 4.75 lakh and Rs. 7.73 lakh, and the Figo Aspire is priced between Rs. 5.44 lakh and Rs. 8.28 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi. Currently, Ford dealers are also offering discounts of around Rs. 60,000 – 65,000 on the Endeavour SUV.

Isuzu Motors India who recently launched the MU-X SUV to compete against the Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour has also slashed prices prior to the roll out of the new tax slabs. Isuzu models now see a price cut of around Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1.5 lakh on the ex-showroom price.

The MU-X was launched at a price of Rs. 23.9 - 25.9 lakh. The benefits now allow the SUV to be priced between Rs 22.4 - 24.4 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross pick-up truck is now priced at Rs. 12.7 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), while previously it would cost Rs. 13.3 lakh.
