During the Japan Mobility Show, Honda revealed an ambitious roadmap for India, including plans to introduce 10 new models by 2030.

Honda Motor Company, Ltd., has unveiled its progressive product roadmap for India at a press conference held during the ongoing Japan Mobility Show. The Japanese automaker has confirmed plans to launch 10 new models in the country by 2030, seven of which will be SUVs. While exact details about these upcoming models remain under wraps, Honda’s emphasis on SUVs highlights its strategy to leverage India’s surging demand for this segment.
Currently, Honda Cars India offers just one compact SUV in the country – the Elevate – starting at Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). With this roadmap, Honda underscores its commitment to expanding its lineup and reinforcing its presence in India’s highly competitive automotive market.
Honda's upcoming lineup will include internal combustion engine (ICE), hybrid, and electric models. These new models will span across mass-market and premium segments, reflecting Honda’s intent to appeal to a wide range of Indian customers. Of the seven SUVs planned for our market, some will be imported as Completely Built Units (CBUs), while others will be developed and produced locally in India.

The India-focused SUVs are expected to spearhead this product push, catering to the growing demand for spacious, high-clearance vehicles that suit local roads and family needs. Notably, the 0 Alpha SUV will be produced at Honda’s Tapukara plant in India, with plans to export it to Japan and other Asian markets, further strengthening Honda’s manufacturing footprint in the region.
Honda has also confirmed that it will expand its hybrid lineup in India. It is preparing to enter the sub-4 metre segment, though it has not yet confirmed whether the upcoming model will be an SUV or a different body type.
Honda showcased a range of models at the Japan Mobility Show, including the India-bound 0 α electric SUV.

Currently in prototype form, the production model of the Honda 0 Alpha SUV will be launched in India in 2027. It is the third model in Honda’s 0 (Zero) Series of electric vehicles, following the 0 Saloon and 0 SUV, which made their debut at CES 2024.
